Day 15: How Do You Remember God’s Personal Promises?

Hi! Well!  It is Countdown Day-15.  There's so much on my mind.  Yesterday, our First Lady hosted a SisterLink2 event after service.  We wore our, "I am my Sister's Keeper" t-shirts.  There was food; teams developing lyrics on the spot; singing; questions; panel discussions; an awesome guest speaker; and much laughter.  We had a wonderful time. As the coordinator of the Women's Committee; I was ecstatic.  It was wonderful to see the ladies' hard work to carry out our First Lady's vision; come into fruition.  The event blessed the attendees.  It was sheer joy to…

3 Negatives That Push You To Expand

Hi! We often view the negative occurrences in our lives as only hindrances.  But if we look deeper into what happens and listen to the voice of the Lord, He will show us how purpose is hidden within negative experiences.  Initially these negative experiences do not look good.  Yet in the stages surrounding the bad encounters, a great thing is emerging.  ....But before we delve into three negatives, there is something that I need to briefly discuss.  There were some thought-provoking words about my post entitled, "Do You Know You?"  Let me help those who misunderstood.  Sometimes…

Do You Really Know You? …What are Your 4 Dominant Characteristics?

Hi! What is one word that best describes your most dominant characteristic?  What would it be with two, three or four words?   Before you continue reading, STOP!  And think about the questions!   Stay with me.  This is not a test...... Now, how quickly did the descriptive words of you by you come to your mind?  Was the answer immediate, or did the questions make you go, "Hmm?"  How many words did it take to describe you?  One, two, three or four?  Was it difficult to describe them?  What was the first word about you that came…

What Do You Need To Do Again?

Hi! If someone asked you, "What do you need to do again," what would be your first thought?  Maybe it would be a list of things.   But before we resurrect the list; let's wait.  Think about how needing to do things again comes upon us. Sometimes we are so engrossed in moving forward, until we lose sight on the things that bring us true joy.  We are so driven to succeed in our career, education, ministry and business goals, until we lose us.  We might even be so wrapped up into helping others until…

What Is Life Teaching You Today?

Hi! If someone asks, "What things cause you to learn," how will you respond?  What if they ask you to name situations that teach you?  Will your answer be typical, like most people's?  Perhaps you'll say, "Duh!!  Everyone knows that schools, colleges, training programs, seminars, conferences, sermons, workshops, self-help books, and on-line courses educate."  But think about it.  Even though these are prime venues for learning; many more of our experiences teach us.  So why have we constrained learning to traditional and ordinary avenues?  Perhaps it's time to take a trip out of the box.…

How Does The Blooming Process Expose Invisible Walls?

Hi! Thanks for joining me in Monday Moments of reflections.....  God has ways of enlightening us in our daily lives to expose invisible walls.  The mechanism of exposure is the blooming process.   Blooming operates in conjunction with awareness.  Blooming is when we begin to understand why we act and respond the way we do.  For example, the blooming process is happening when The Lord brings in your spirit questions, "Why does the sound of that person's voice irritate you? Or Why does getting smart and telling people off bring you gratification?" Discovering how the…

If Your Life Was A Book, How Would It Read?

Hi! If people who you have interacted with likened your life to a book, what would they note?  What would capture the attention of the majority of persons reading the book of your life through experiencing you?  If your life was a book, would it be an easy or difficult read?  Would it be adventurous, boring, intriguing, inspiring, encouraging or perplexing?  Would it highlight generosity, endurance, steadfastness, or faithfulness?  Would it display an energetic person, a person that people admire, or someone who is an example for others?   Would it display selfishness, haughtiness, self-righteousness, stubbornness, slothfulness,…
