Day 20: How Do You Remember God’s Personal Promises?

Hi!

Well it is countdown Day-20.  Faith and favor have tag-teamed in my mind for three days.  Wednesday, as I paid a bill, I learned that I owed $275 less than what I was paying.  Even though the overage amount was small; it was a welcomed surprise.  Especially, since I needed to target those funds to pay other bills.

You may think, “That’s peanuts!”  But, I see a reminder.  The Lord is still fulfilling personal promises.  He is allowing me to live out the scripture:  “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”  (Malachi‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

Overflowing blessings are happening multiple ways in different areas.

Sunday morning, the enemy kept prodding me with, “Don’t pay your tithe. You need to pay this and that.”  Worry tried to stop me.  But, “Faith” overrode fear; just as it had many other times before.  I paid my tithe; and the devil’s taunting dissipated.

Isn’t it wonderful that God sends reminders of how rewarding it is to step out on “Faith?”

The next day, The Lord reiterated to me, what living by “Faith” can do.  I went to the library to print out some forms, and make some copies.  When I reached into the receptacle to get my change; it was more than what it should have been.

As I placed the extra coins back into the change slot; I heard, “Rochelle, do you see what happens when you trust me?  Do you see how unexpected extra can come to you from anywhere?”     The Lord is giving me reminders through small stuff.

Look at God!  Won’t He do it?

My friends, think about it.  Can you see God’s favor on your life in the midst of your daily activities?  Do you have faith to believe in, and wait on The Lord?

Sometimes, we spend way too much  time looking for big things to happen.  We don’t notice the incremental blessings; and become disgruntled, while we wait.  Don’t misunderstand.  We’re not saying, we’re not to think big; expect big; or dream big.  Because; that’s totally okay.  Yet, we mustn’t miss it when God tries to show us His faithfulness through small things.

Today, I read one of my journals from late May, 2009.  It had an entry:  “Lord, what is my place in the body?”  The entry was from a time when I had just returned home after having a brain aneurysm, and multiple surgeries.  I couldn’t balance my bills; walk without a cane; or even sit up for too long.  But, The Lord placed it in my heart to write; even while waiting to have the third and fourth surgeries.

Isn’t God good?  That’s “Favor.”  He had already “Favored” me to live through that life-threatening ordeal.  Then, God “Favored” me to write my thoughts at a time when life was foggy.  Praise His Holy name!

Now, God is “Favoring” me, by answering my question from 2009.  I’m living out that question through this blog; my upcoming book; Bible Studies; Ministerial Classes; Book Club; Empowerment Sessions, Leadership Conferences; feeding the homeless; ministering to convalescent residents; and other assignments.   But, enough about me.

What about you?   Do you see favor operating in your life?

How is God showing you favor?  Can you see favor in the small things?  Is God causing you to smile in the midst of troubled times?  Is He blessing your finances?  Is He opening doors for you that were once shut?  Is He showering you with joy, peace, and good health?  Is He giving you favor with people?  Where do you see God’s favor at work in your life?

My friend, if you don’t see favor; take a closer look.  It is there.  See how God is favoring you in the moments of your life.

What about faith?

Do you have faith?  If so; do you see how with every struggle, you are going from faith to faith?  Do you see where your faith needs to increase?  I certainly do.  You do trust God no matter what; don’t you?  Praise God!  I’m so excited for you.

Thank you for joining me today!  I’m looking forward to countdown Day-19.  How is this journey working for you?  Are layers being peeled back?  Do you see God’s personal promises to you being fulfilled?  We’ll talk soon.

Blessings!

Rochelle
