Day 32: How Do You Remember God’s Personal Promises?

Hi!

Well countdown Day-32 is here.  When this journey began, we discovered promises being manifested.  That’s wonderful.  Yet, are we so intent on finding promises until we’re missing something.  Perhaps you are living in a major promise today; but, you haven’t realized it?

Think about it.  God’s Word says, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”  ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭21:22‬).  Have you asked for something in prayer; and you received it?  That’s not just an answered prayer.  It’s a manifestation of what God promised in His Word.

What have you prayed about, and you’ve seen it come to past?

It could be the new home you’re living in.  Maybe it’s that degree (or those degrees) you’re holding.  Perhaps it’s the new career, or job you’ve been offered.  Your un-saved loved ones might have given their lives to the Lord.  You may now be able to speak, teach, or preach in front of crowds.  Maybe you’re up making coffee for  the spouse you asked God for, 2, 5, 10, or 15 years ago.

Wow!  Precious memories are flowing this morning.  What about this?  You were once living in sin; but now you’re on fire for the Lord.  That’s major.  I’ve been in church my entire life.  Yet, there was a time when I was in church; but the church wasn’t in me.

Almost thirty years ago, when my mother ran from the law, and became a fugitive; I prayed and asked God to save me.  It took six years for me to surrender.  But, here I am, saved, sanctified, and filled with the precious Holy Ghost.  Praise God!

Sometimes you have to think out of the box to see God’s personal promises.

When I was a little girl, I often attended Baptist churches with my mother, where she played the organ.  I remember sitting in a church listening to the preacher tell the story of the Bible.  The message was so intriguing,  until I remember imagining myself walking with Moses, Joshua, Abraham, David and Jesus.  You may call this a stretch; but, those wishes are here now.  How?

Jesus is in me; walking with me.  I walk with the Bible Fathers through reading the pages of the Holy Scriptures.  God used my childhood enthusiasm and curiosity to draw me to Him.  And now, He has caused my little girl dreams to manifest in my heart.   I love submerging myself in the Word of God; until it feels as though I’m right there with people in the Bible.  You should try it.

What areas in your life did you once feel defeated; but now you have the victory?

  • Did you ever put yourself down for any reason?  Do you now feel good about yourself, the progress you’ve made; and your future progress? Yes?  That’s victory!
  • Were you uncomfortable with who you were?   Are you comfortable today, being you?  You love who you are?  You know that short, tall, round, small, light, or dark is okay?  Yes?   That’s victory!
  • Were you discontent about the situations you were in?  Now you’ve found contentment in whatsoever state you are in?  You’re yet pressing towards goals?  You celebrate all accomplishments; big or small?  That’s victory!
  • Were you ever ashamed of your home, furniture, car, or marital status?  Now you’ve conquered shame;.  You’re thankful for what you have, and where you are?  You’re confident in and live by the scripture;  “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”  (Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭KJV)‬‬. That’s victory!

An old song just came into my spirit.  I’m singing it now.  “I got the victory, hallelujah!!  I got the victory, hallelujah!!  I got the victory, hallelujah!!  I got the victory, hallelujah!!  Every knee shall bow.  Every tongue confess.  He is Lord!  He is Lord!  Every knee shall bow. Every tongue confess.  He is Lord!  He is Lord!”

My friends,  I’m so excited and filled with expectation.   This journey is peeling back more layers each day.  I am confident that countdown Day-31 will bring forth more forward pressing memories from God.  Even though there are yet promises to materialize; I’m living in personal promises today.  Are you?  I certainly hope so.

Thank you for joining me today.  The question remains.  “How do you remember God’s personal promises to YOU?”   We’ll talk soon..

Blessing!
